Visits to the Sykes & Sons workshop are by appointment only, which allows us to really focus on your individual requirements as a musician and provide you with a more personal and tailored service.

We have found that our clients feel more comfortable in the private environment that our appointment-only model provides. It allows you to sample our pianos in your own time, without any disturbances from other visitors. It also means that the attention of our specialists is undivided so that you can ask questions when you need to and we can answer in-depth so to ensure that you understand the choices in as much detail as possible.

A well-chosen piano may become a valued companion for life, which is why we strive to make your visit to Sykes & Sons as informative and enjoyable as it can be. We could not provide this one-to-one service that our clients enjoy if we maintained an open-door policy.

While the vast majority of our clients prefer scheduled visits, we understand that some new clients may find the prospect intimidating.

We can promise that we do not agree with high-pressure sales tactics and provide a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
Our aim is to offer the best advice and service so you can make the best buying decision based on your requirements.

The most important thing to us is that you feel you have found your perfect instrument, even many years down the line.

Sykes & Sons is operated by full-time piano specialists. We are not salespeople, waiting in a showroom for potential customers to come in.
When we are not with clients, we are in our workshop preparing the pianos to our high standards.

 

Scheduled visits allow us to prepare for your appointment, hand-select instruments which fit your budget, requirements, and style, and in some cases prepare pianos especially.
